At Bring Study, accessible from bringstudy.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors and users. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by Bring Study and how we use it.

1. Information We Collect

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our service to you:

Account Information: When you register as a Parent or Tutor, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, and physical address/neighborhood.
Child/Student Information: Parents may optionally provide basic academic information (e.g., child's name, grade, subjects) to facilitate accurate tutor matchmaking.
Tutor Verification Documents: To maintain platform trust, Tutors may upload optional identity documents (e.g., Aadhaar card) and academic resumes. These documents are explicitly used for verification purposes only.
Profile Photos: Users may choose to upload profile pictures.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for various purposes:

To facilitate matchmaking between parents seeking home tutors and qualified tutors.
To notify you about updates, match statuses, and scheduling requests.
To provide and maintain our Service, including support and security diagnostics.
To monitor the usage of our Service and prevent fraudulent activity.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We share your information only in the following contexts:

Tutor Matching: When a tutor matches a parent's request, we share relevant profiles (subject, location, academic background) with the parent, and contact info once a match is accepted to coordinate sessions.
Verification Documents Protection: Tutor identity documents (e.g., Aadhaar cards) and resumes are strictly protected. They are securely stored in private cloud buckets, accessible exclusively by authorized platform administrators for identity verification purposes. They are never shared publicly or with other users.
Service Providers: We use trusted third-party cloud services to operate our platform securely. Supabase provides authentication, database, and cloud storage services. Firebase Cloud Messaging is used exclusively for delivering push notifications. These providers process information strictly as necessary to provide their respective services.
Legal Requirements: If required by law, we may disclose information to comply with legal obligations or defend the platform's rights.

4. Security of Data

We protect account credentials using secure authentication mechanisms and protect stored data using database-level access controls and Row Level Security (RLS). Bring Study uses Supabase for authentication, database, and storage services, and Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications. Data transmitted between the application and our services is protected using HTTPS/TLS encryption.

5. Your Rights and Account Deletion

You have the right to access, update, or delete the personal information we hold on you. You can update your profile directly inside the application, or request complete account erasure by visiting our Account Deletion Page.

Account Deletion Process

When you request account deletion through our platform, your account enters a 14-day recovery period. During this time:

Your account is immediately deactivated and you are logged out.
Your profile will no longer appear in searches or matchmaking results.
You may cancel the deletion request by logging back in within the 14 days.

After the 14-day recovery period expires, our automated system permanently and securely deletes your account, including your verification documents, profile media, and personal data. Select historical records (such as completed job histories and financial transactions required for tax compliance) are strictly anonymized to remove all personally identifiable information or retained only as strictly necessary for legitimate legal and operational requirements.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
